Anti-Virus-1 Removal
Anti-Virus-1 is a fake or rogue antispyware program. This malware is typically spread by fake online scanners that pretend to scan your system, resulting in fake infections. The user is then prompted to purchase a full version of Anti-Virus-1 to remove the infections. The full version of the program is a scam as well, and will only consume system resources and continue to produce false security alerts and notifications.
Another unique Caveat of Anti-Virus-1 Malware is that it will run a Screensaver appearing to be a Blue Screen of Death, containing text like: SPYWARE.MONSTER.FX_WILD has been detected.
Your computer may appear to crash and reboot displaying the following text under the Windows logo: Your Anti-virus-1 copy is unregistered. Microsoft Security recommends you to activate your antivirus protection software
