How to find your eyes blind spot

Many people might not realize that every eye has a blind spot. Typically, when both eyes are open, one eye will make up for the blind spot of the other eye, allowing us to see the completed image being presented in our field of vision. However, when either eye is removed from the equation, the blind spot becomes prevalent. By attempting the following test, you can literally SEE your blind spot.

The Blind spot eye test:

Left Eye blind spot test

  1. Sit about arms length from your computer monitor
  2. Use your hand to cover your right eye. (do not close the eye)
  3. Using your left eye, focus on the right dot in the picture below. Slowly move your head toward the computer monitor. The dot to the left should completely disappear as you move closer. If you continue to move closer after the dot has disappeared, it will then reappear.
