How to redirect from Root to Subdirectory with .htaccess. In many cases, web hosting services such as Bluehost set your primary hosted domain to be accessible at the root directory. Firefox Status Bar Missing? According to Mozilla, starting with Firefox 4, The status bar has been positionally replaced by the Firefox Addon Bar, and many of the status bar features such as page loading status, and download status have been moved. However, if you had addons that used to appear in the status bar, you can still find them in the new addons bar, that displaces the old status bar. My 4GB Sansa Clip+ Mp3 Player Review: I set out to purchase a small and lightweight MP3 player for use when bicycling, jogging, and mowing the yard (with a good run time per charge). I feel that a good MP3 Player should contain expandable storage, utilize a digital display to provide feedback for which song is previous or next in a list, volume level, current song, etc. In my opinion, the best Mp3 Players do not require the usage of proprietary software in order to manage your music. Do A Barrel Roll: As if it wasn't enough that Google displays your public ip address for you, you can now type commands into Google Search, and have the search engine react to your commands. One well known command is "Do a barrel roll". Simply open up a browser window, point it to google.com and search do a barrel roll. You'll be pleasantly amused with the rolling on screen results. It's easy to Embed Mp3 Music, Audio Files, or Songs on a Website or Webpage, so that your visitors can choose to play music in the background while they browse your site. How to find out if TRIM is Enabled and Working: After installing an SSD drive in your computer, you might wonder if trim is working. The Trim command allows the operating system to notify the SSD (solid state drive) of which data blocks are no longer in use so that they can be wiped. How I fixed the ? inserted at the beginning of email replies. Recently, Windows Live Mail began inserting question marks at the beginning of every email I would reply to. One way to Partition a USB Flash Drive from Windows XP and mark it active "bootable". Windows detects Flash Drives as "Removable Disks" and flash drives are typically shipped formatted as a "Super Floppy" (USB-FDD without a partition table) . The Windows built in format utility cannot create a partition table on Removable Disks. Furthermore, the diskpart utility in Windows XP will not allow you to partition Removable Media, although diskpart does work for partitioning a Flash Drive from Windows Vista/7.

How I Restored GRUB2 after a Windows 7 Install. GRUB2 (Grand Unified Bootloader) is a universal bootloader used by Ubuntu and other Linux Distributions. If you have a Linux Distribution installed on a partition, and attempt to install Windows alongside it, your GRUB bootloader will be overwritten by the Windows bootloader, and your computer will only boot into Windows.

One way to Fix Simple Tags after Upgrading to WordPress 2.9; In the following simple solution, I'll show you how I fixed the Broken Simple Tags Plugin after upgrading to WordPress 2.9. Recently I received an error in cPanel stating; Error from park wrapper: Domain is already configured when attempting to add an addon domain. The domain was previously an addon in one of our other accounts on the same box, and we were trying to move it to another account. As it turns out, when I deleted the addon from the other account, traces were still left behind on the server, making the domain appear to be configured.

How to Pin Computer to Taskbar in Windows 7. Windows 7 offers a feature called Pin to Taskbar that allows you to drag and drop or right click items and Pin them to the Windows 7 Taskbar. However, some items, particularly those that are already a part of another pinned item, cannot be pinned. For example, since Computer is a part of Windows Explorer, Computer will not Pin. To fix this, we simply need to create a new shortcut that can be pinned.

In the following simple solution, I'll show you how to Convert Doc to PDF files using the Open Source PDFCreator. I stumbled upon this PDF Creator tool while I was doing some research for a client who was looking for an offline tool he could use to convert his document files into PDF (Portable Document Format) files. This tool seemed to do the trick and more. PDFCreator includes a PDF print driver which allows the user to print to a file from virtually any Windows application that supports printing. It can be used like a printer in Word, StarCalc or any other Windows program.

Beware, email appearing to come from (UPS) or United Parcel Service may be a Trojan. The infected email states that it's coming from "United Parcel Service" or "United Parcel Service of America" and usually starts out stating in the subject line "UPS Delivery Problem". An attachment is shipped (pun intended) with the message and once the attachment is opened, your computer becomes infected with a virus variant of the Win32/Kryptik.ARB trojan.

In the following simple solution, I'll show you how to calibrate the throttle on your 2008-20010 Dodge Challenger. The Challenger uses a drive by wire (electronic throttle control) system and should be calibrated any time the battery has been disconnected or if you have installed a custom computer program (diablosport predator canned tune). On my 2009 White Challenger R/T, we noticed that our throttle had a flat spot and the car seemed unresponsive, then lurched when the pedal was barely pressed. Once we calibrated the throttle, the flat spot and lurching disappeared.

Exclude specific categories from being displayed in the sidebar in WordPress 2.8. In the following simple solution, I show you how to keep select categories from being displayed in your sidebar on your WordPress pages and posts. This is very useful if you have a lot of categories, or have changed the content of your blog, have been indexed for the content and no longer wish to use or display specific categories on your WordPress site. Anti-Virus-1 is a fake or rogue antispyware program. This malware is typically spread by fake online scanners that pretend to scan your system, resulting in fake infections.
