MojoPac too slow for practical use

Is MojoPac too slow for practical use? MojoPac is a neat little portable application that offers the ability to bring your Windows Desktop and related user profiles with you. It's claimed that you can even bring applications and games that are normally installed on your PC with you using a Portable installation of MojoPac. All this sounds great and would make for a great portable Windows on a USB flash drive or iPod. So how does it perform?

MojoPac Download and Installation:
Today I headed out for the latest download of MojoPac and proceeded to install. Note, I have access to just about every good flash drive ever made and personally chose my fastest benchmarked OCZ Rally 2 TURBO for the installation of MojoPac. Installation was easy and didn't take much time although I didn't like the fact that one had to register to use the software. Heck, this was the free version (why should one need to register?).
MojoPac initial Startup:
After a successful installation, I figured it was time to see what MojoPac could do. After a bit of time MojoPac loaded and converted my desktop to the portable version. It felt like it took an excessive amount of time to load, but I figured it's the first startup so it is possible it might take a bit longer than it would on subsequent startups.
MojoPac's Performance running applications:
Ok, now it's time to navigate some of the useful applications I have at my fingertips. I started with my most used application, Internet Explorer. After a good 15 seconds, Internet Explorer loaded up and I proceeded to go to my favorite home page, Google. Another 8 seconds later the page arrived. Outlook express took nearly 30 seconds to load. Now I'm thinking, this can't be right. I'm running an AMD 64 X2 5400 dual core processor. 2GB of dual channel XMS Corsair Memory and two nice little raptor drives in a striped RAID array. This system really boogies when running applications from those internal drives. However, MojoPac running on my dual channel OCZ Rally 2 TURBO drive is slower than snot. After a bit of research and making a few recommended changes to MojoPac (optimized the flash drive for performance), we saw little in performance boost for most applications. However Internet Explorer did load respectably faster.
Personal MojoPac conclusion:
I really like the idea and intent MojoPac software has to offer. But from my personal experience in using this software, I can't see how it could be ready for real life practical use. It takes way too much time to load (even on subsequent startups. Applications are sluggish and don't perform at even 1/10 the speed they would on the host PC. I did not have a chance to check MojoPac performance running a game installed via MojoPac. I'm confident that it would take more time to launch than it took to write this post.
